Your input options may look different than the example pictured. STEP 6: If your monitor powers on, make sure it is set to the correct input option. Gently push the cable into the slot until you feel it can’t go any further. Power connector is not fully seated in monitor. We often find, if a monitor is not powering on, this connector has come loose. Check to make sure the power cord is fully seated into the brick and the wallĬheck the power connector on the monitor, make sure it is fully plugged in. Some monitors have a power brick that a cord plugs in to. If using a power strip, make sure it is powered on. Make sure power cable is fully plugged in. STEP 5: If your monitor is not powering on, check to make sure the monitor’s power cable is fully plugged in. Don’t worry about this as the monitor should power on once it receives signal. *Note* many monitors will go to sleep shortly after they power on if no signal is detected. You should see your monitors splash screen show up, along with a solid LED light indicating the display is powered on. Most monitors have a power LED that lights up. Power your monitor on by pressing the power button. STEP 4: Make sure your monitor can power on and is powered on before starting your PC STEP 3: Plug the other end of you display cable into your monitor. Make sure your display cable is fully plugged in. We can add the 2 nd display later but trouble shooting 2 displays at once adds difficulty. STEP 2: If you have multiple monitors Remove all monitor cables from your PC and hook up only your main display. Make sure you are plugging into the ports on your video card and not the mainboard. These are disabled when a Video card is present. Many of our computers have display outputs on the mainboard. STEP 1: Make sure your display cable is connected to the correct location on the back of your PC.
